Swimming Lessons

This year the girls had so much at swimming lessons. I don’t know if they were more serious about learning to swim or primping and making sure their hair bows and towels coordinated with their swimsuit rotation every morning but, they did learn a lot and Ryan and I had fun watching them.

4th of July

With the help of Aunt Kim we found this fun little park close to the Green Belt to watch the fire works. We look forward to the fire works every year. Last year we started a new tradition for the 3rd of July. We go to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Ivan's for a huge party and firwork show. This year Grandma bought a big water slid for the kids. We had a BBQ, played in the water, played volly ball and enjoyed the fireworks. We love the 4th of July!

A day at the park

We have been out having so much fun this summer that I am behind on blogging. This is some pictures of the kids having fun at the park with their cousins.

Primary Activity

This month’s primary theme is about Temples so we decided to take our primary children to the Temple on Tuesday for a tour of the Temple Grounds and Visitors Center. It was such a great day and the kids had such a great time. The missionaries split them into 3 groups and off they went. The highlight of the day was when we got to the end of the “Temple Grounds Tour” the guides let each child touch the Temple. The children also loved the new Statue of Christ in the Visitors Center. Before we loaded the bus to go home the children were all standing on the Temple steps and decided to sing “I Love to See the Temple.” You could feel the spirit so strong it was hard to hold back the tears. This is the kind of day that makes being the Primary President such a reward. Last night Jairo and I went to the Temple to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I had to smile to think of how badly the children yearned to go inside and what a privilege it is to hold a recommend.

Katelyn's Baptism

This was such a great day! Katelyn had been so excited for her baptism to come and wanted to make sure that she only had to be dunked once so she and Jairo practiced every night after family prayer. I don’t know who was more excited Katelyn or Jairo. Katelyn and Allie sang the baptism song with their cousins and did a wonderful job. After her baptism we had a big BBQ with all of our family and friends at Grandma Debbie's house. We are so proud of Katelyn for the good choices she has made in her life. She has set such a good example for the rest of our children. This was such a special day!
