Hillary Weeks Concert

Over the summer Hillary Weeks put a private Christmas concert up for bid on E-Bay for charity (to benefit a family that lost their daughter to cancer.) Along with some friends we bid and won so on December 5th we were able to attend the private Christmas concert and it was wonderful. The girls and I had a great time. Hillary is the number one selling female LDS artist and it shows on stage. She is so comfortable and sang so beautiful. She came around and introduced herself to everyone before the concert and signed pictures and CD's after. It was great to get out with my girls and kick off the holiday season with some great music among friends!
P.S. I had to add in a picture of Ryan so we could remember what he and his dad were doing while we were away at the concert. I think they had a great evening as well.

Fall Pictures

Her are a couple of pictures that I took of the kids this fall. The picture of the whole family is kind of a funny story. We went to the park to have Sandy take a quick family picture of us and a Photographer (Daren Jensen) and his wife were walking by and asked if he could take our picture. It turned out pretty good for being free although Maddie looks upset it will do. I still have to edit the ones Sandy took but haven't had time. She did a great job. Darren printed a picture of us onto a "tile" which would make a great Christmas present. He can print any image on a tile for a great price with this new fancy printer he bought.

Jairo took this one of me and Maddie.

Happy Halloween!

This is Maddie when she is 7 weeks old in her Halloween outfit. She is starting to get such a cute personality. Happy Halloween from Maddie!

This is a picture that I took of Maddie when she was 2 weeks old. She is doing very good. I can't believe how big she is getting. The kids are in love with her! Ryan said to me yesterday "mom, I love my baby, I just love her, I just love her so so much." He is such a great big brother. Katie and Allie are such big helpers. The joy of having so much help around the house makes the 4th child so much easier.

My Baby Girls!

Katelyn

Allison

Allison

Madelyn

Here are some pictures of Maddie I took When she was 4 days old. We have a tradition in our family that started with Katelyn to take a picture of the little girl babies when they are 4 days old in this little white dress. Grace actually looked a lot like my girls but Alyssa was born very beautiful, but a lot lighter then the others. I think Maddie looks like Allison but mostly she just has her own look. In the other pictures Maddie is in an old hat box I had in the top of my closet. I love how they turned out. The pictures I have posted on the blog have been looking very digital, they look much better in person.

Maddie's Princess Bed!

I wanted to make something special for Maddie since the 4th child doesn't usually get a lot of new stuff so I asked my dad to make her a new cradle. 24 years ago he welded my sister Sandy a cradle that has been passed all around the family which worked out great but I wanted something new for my last little one. I had an idea of exactly what I wanted and he delivered all of my expectations. We spent 3 evening down at Uncle Randy's shop and this is what we came up with. After he was finished I brought the cradle home and made all of the bedding to go with it. I found the exact fabric I wanted but it wasn't available in white so my mom ordered it for me out of one of her fabric books. I am so excited with the outcome. Now all I need is a little princess to sleep in it! Thanks dad for all of your hard work, you are so amazing!

Katelyn and Allison's Room

Last year I started making new bedding and pillows for my girls room but never finished. A couple of weeks ago the Ribbon Retreat asked if they could come and take a few pictures for their web sight so I hurried and finished (the quick version since we might move and the girls don't want a pink, green and brown room anymore)so I thought I would put my progress on the blog.

Summer Fun (part 3)

Little Buck-A-Roo Rodeo!
The little Buck-a-roo rodeo came around and we thought that since the War Bonnet was canceled we would try it out. Ryan was to ride in the stick horse race and even brought his "Woody hat" to help him stay on his horse. My sister Sandy got her kids, Ryan and my brother Bryans family all hooked on this little event sponsored by the Firth High School FFA. Luke has been in the Rodeo for the last 3 years and is now a pro. He was riding that horse like he was out on the Range. Grace was all cute in her pink cowboy boots and ran around the barrels with an escort from her daddy. Tyler did a great job riding the sheep. Last but not least Kaden and Jackson pulled tags off sheep. All was going well, Ryan went out for the stick horse race with Luke and Grace and decided that he was going to get stage fright. I, being 8 months Pregnant, reluctantly went out to get him off the track when he decided that he was not going to leave until I ran around the barrels with him. The clown volunteered to take him but he just wanted his mom to go so I grabbed his had and we ran the stick horse race. I obviously don't have any pictures of this since I ended being a participant but Sandy said she "has it all on video" for us to enjoy at a later time. I was also told that the commentator has some sweet comments but I was to busy concentrating on running like I wasn't disabled to focus on the rest of the crowed. Besides filling my favorite shoes with dirt we did pretty good. In the end we collected the belt buckle, had a good laugh and went on our merry way. Did I mention it was like 93 degrees. The things we do for our kids. My girls want to join the team next year but I am sure to have them sign a waver stating no stage fright!

Summer Fun (part 2)

Ryan had a great birthday. He had been planning it for months. He loves to sing happy birthday and even more he loves fire on cakes! He wanted a Transformer Party so I made him a Optimus Prime cake and invited all his friends over for swimming and a BBQ in my moms backyard. Everyone bought him transformers. Later that evening we had cake and ice cream with the family. I can't believe he is already 4 years old.

Kites and the Fire Pit
Jairo and the kids have been flying kites in the backyard. Whenever we get out the kites or start a fire in the fire pit the neighbor kids come over. Sharing the backyard is one of the best parts of summer. One Monday night the Pascoe's came over for family night to fly kites. Luke and Grace did a great job. I think we ended up with about 3 more families that night and we were happy to share. I don't know who enjoys it more, Jairo or the kids?
